I believe that these are some type of Bolete SP, but I am not sure. My partner found these while fishing near Clayton NC - central NC area. They were found alongside a river bank/in or near a riverbed. I’m almost certain these are an edible variant, want to be 100% sure. Thanks!
Hello all! Me and my partner are bother very new to mycology and mushroom hunting in general - but we love it! We went walking through the woods yesterday in our area just to see what we could find and we stumbled upon these.
We’re still both very new to this, so not too sure if they are edible or not - I think at least the 2nd image is an edible Laccaria SP maybe? Either way, I love mushrooms and love taking pictures of them. I just wanted to share my find and see if anyone can offer any insight. Thanks!
