Help! My little orange Marmalade has developed a “hot spot” looking wound. She is otherwise healthy and living among 3 other cats. Google results say this is likely an allergic reaction to something. The other cats are unaffected. Has anyone seen anything like this before? How is it treated? Is there an OTC medication that would alleviate any uncomfortable sensation she’s experiencing?

I will be going to the vet about this, however, I’d like some advice and peace of mind that this is not an emergency. Additionally if there is a way to make her more comfortable while we wait for our appointment.
