Hi, I am 22 and recently joined my first job in a Fintech, working as a Python developer specialising in risk and pnl in the global markets division. I kind of hate my job here because there isn't a lot of coding involved. We hardly change a few lines of code here and there. Growing up, I was very interested in math. Now I want to switch to Quant dev ( which hopefully has math+programming ). How do I start preparing for it? I have a B.Tech degree in IT from a Tier 2 institute. Is there any quantitative developer out there who could help? Do I need a Master's degree for this? Since Quant roles are usually filled by graduates of Tier 1 institutes. What should be my next step in preparation?
