Im learning piano and have been for 2 years but im having a hard time retaining the information. My kinetic memory is really very good so I can play pieces based on how they "feel"​ but I have a hard time reading along with music. I have a really hard time retaining note names and theory lessons. I understand all the material as i learn it and then it seems to just leave my brain even though the information comes up again and again I can never seem to remember it. It sucks because now ive gotten to the point where everything is building on the fundamentals but I still struggle to remember the fundamentals. I dont want to quit but I hate feeling like an idiot at lessons haha any advice? Im sure im not alone. This has been a lifelong struggle of information that I understand just leaving my brain.
