Hi all,

I’m a Senior DevSecOps Engineer (10+ years, banking/enterprise), currently based in Bangkok. My wife is in Vancouver, and my spouse PR is in process.

I’ll likely be visiting Vancouver on a tourist visa during this period and want to make the most of my time there without violating any rules.

Looking for advice on:

• What I can legally do while on a visitor visa (networking, certifications, market research, etc.)
• Whether remote freelance work is allowed ?
• How to prepare for the job market (DevSecOps/DevOps in Vancouver) before I get work authorization
• Any smart ways to use this time productively (or even explore future business ideas)

Would really appreciate insights from anyone who’s been in a similar situation.
