Work-life balance
Hi I’m an incoming freshman in Chem E and I was wondering how many classes and extracurricular activities I can realistically handle my first year. I took 8 APs in high school along with very time consuming extracurriculars, but I know that college is a different ballgame, especially with the quarter system. I still want to have a social life and time to unwind, so will I be doing too much?
I plan to play a club sport (fall season), get a part-time on-campus job, join a project based club. I also really want to start exploring different minors and double majors at Weinberg—possible Anthropology or a language.
If this is too much especially for first and second quarter, which should I prioritize and which should I hold off on until I get a better feel of Northwestern workload?
