Anyone Experience Placental Abruption?
(25w2d) Approx 6 weeks ago I had my first “spotting episode.”
(26w5d) 10 days later I had a bright red bleeding episode that lasted off and on for 4 days - which led me to be hospitalized and discharged. Initial thoughts were SCH vs placental lake vs partial abruption
(31w) 4 weeks later I was working a desk job, stood up to go to the bathroom and started hemorrhaging. No pain, no cramping/pressure or other signs prior. I left work and drove myself and into OB triage within 15 min. At this point my pants were soaked with blood and I was still pouring blood into the toilet.
After admission to the hospital, the bleed had significantly slowed/stopped but they are saying this is an abruption and findings on ultrasound suggest moderate at this point. (Baby has been stable and no PPROM).
1 OB doctor recommends discharge 48hrs after bleeding is done. High risk MFM advises to be admitted until delivery (goal 37w) since this is my 3rd bleed.
Just wondering anyone’s experience with placental abruption. Would love to hear other viewpoints during this scary time.
