People be like this guy on this side of politics said something completely abhorrent, how can you possibly support that side? Uh huh, ok, what about what this guy on the side you want me to support said? Clearly I can’t support the other side either if that’s the standard. You can honestly blame Trump for this, when the most powerful man on earth has no qualms celebrating the deaths of people he doesn’t like why should anyone else be held to a higher standard? What people really need to understand about the DC Multiverse (much like the Marvel Multiverse) is that death is meaningless (unless you’re Batman’s parents or are in one of the live action universes or the Injustice Universe) there’s always some plot device at the ready to bring heroes (and villains) who’ve died back. Sure Batman COULD kill the Joker, but that’d be silly because somehow someway he’d come back from the dead eventually. At least by sending him to Arkham instead there’s a warning system that lets you know when he’s back on the streets (that being that he’s unaccounted for at Arkham)

I initially was going to title this Trump hasn’t done anything to drain the swamp, but you know what? His entire movement hasn’t done fuck all in this regard. 10 years since Trump first promised to drain the swamp and nothing has been done to further this agenda. In fact in these 10 years the only times Trump and his allies have wielded the power of the justice system has been to go after their political rivals and pardon their allies. It’s almost like MAGA is a part of the swamp.

Things are expensive right now and when I see farmers complain that American consumers are prone to buying cheaper imported food over expensive American grown stuff, all I see is entitlement. I have bills to pay, and unlike farmers I don’t have the government to subsidize me and bail me out if I get closed bankruptcy. Seriously the government will bail out a farm even faster than an airline or even a bank. Even if you are losing money because the American consumer is choosing to be financially responsible, you literally have the government to constantly bail you out. If you want people to buy your shit, then lower the price.

You might think. “Everyone in the US is supposed to speak English and everywhere abroad I’d like to go has people who know English, so why should my low IQ self learn a second language or have my children tainted by a non English tongue?”

Well my stupid stupid friend. Let me tell you about my best friend and his loser brother. My best friend is a hard worker. His brother was a stoner, a loser, and a thief. My best friend as an adult is struggling to find a good job. His brother is having his college paid for him by the company he works for. Why? I say this as a vehement anti theist. Religion is an awful thing and I despise it with every fiber in my being. I come from a country where Christian preachers quite often make nuisances of themselves. Blocking sidewalks, trespassing, even on occasion physically blocking people from entering buildings to engage in activity their vile primitive superstition/fictional genocidal mass murder deity deems “immoral.”

And he SHOULD have a right to preach his bullshit just the same as a flat earther, or someone who believes in Austrian Economics, or someone who believes in cryptids, or a tankie, or som with any other crazy non medicine related bullshit belief should.

“I’m rich I can pay the fines” which is why either fines should either be tied to net worth or they should be phased out entirely and replaced with either mandatory community service or prison time. Like nah you’re going to go on vacation somewhere and start chucking rocks at the wildlife you better believe the locals are going to have something to say about it, and if your response is “I’m rich, I can pay the fines” they’re going to find some other way to make you pay.

I’m an Atheist, but I grew up Methodist and as a child I went to church every Sunday AND every Wednesday. One song they’d always have us listen too in youth group was called Pharaoh Pharaoh. Well I recently came across a song called Louie Louie that unlocked core memories from youth group in that it sounded like Pharaoh Pharoah, or rather it was literally the same exact song with different lyrics. Three guesses which came first. I looked into it and apparently this is insanely common for contemporary Christian music, find a secular song, replace the lyrics and act like it’s an original song inspired by the love of Christ and not the equivalent of copying the smart kids homework and passing it off as your own.

People like to say that the Democrats are the party of the elite and then when you ask them what they mean they say, well the Hollywood people like them and the doctors like them.

First of all doctors? By what metric are they elite? Because they make a lot of money? Does this make underwater welders elites? No! There’s more to being elite than how large your paycheck is. Political influence is a way bigger factor. Then we have Hollywood. Absolutely elites, but if the elite had a caste system Hollywood would be at almost the bottom just above high profile social media influencer millionaires like Asmongold and Jake Paul who BTW are also part of the elite. When you factor in Politicians, Buearucrats, Judges, Owners of large businesses, wealthy leaders of religious groups, such as high ranking members of the LDS church, Watchtower Society, Scientology, and Protestant Megachurches, wealthy stock traders etc. there’s a pretty even split of elites between the Democrats and Republicans.

Even if the Republicans are able to use the Supreme Court ruling to create 20 or so new red leaning districts, the Democrats were able gain 41 seats in the 2018 elections and Trump wasn’t nearly as unpopular then as he is now. I might be a bit more concerned about the midterms than I was before, but I still think the Democrats have this one in the bag more than likely.

I don’t think the Republicans would be so eager to redistrict mid decade without a new census if they weren’t convinced there was no other way to win. It seems like a desperation move to me, but I’ll admit it’s one that could pay off, even if I don’t think it’s likely.

So Title IX bans discrimination based on sex (my autocorrect was quite adamant I not use the word sex) it’s been in the news recently that an all female school is being investigated by the Feds on the basis of Title IX for reasons we will not be getting into.

However it seems to me that the idea of an all female school itself is discrimination based on sex. I recall when I was growing up in South Carolina we had options to be in an all boys classroom or all girls classroom. If we’re really worried about Title IX violations maybe it’s time to question whether segregation of education by sex, is in of itself discrimination.ex

The right has this narrative that the reason the death penalty fell out of fashion is because people got soft. No the reason it fell out of fashion is because it started getting out that a lot of people who were executed didn’t even commit the crime they were accused of. If new evidence comes out proving someone innocent, you can reverse a life sentence, if an innocent person is executed there’s no undoing it. What’s even scarier is that with AI deepfakes getting more and more believable, we could very well eventually see someone get executed because of an AI generated video depicting them committing a crime that in reality they did not.

In the 2000s there was a growing radical antitheist movement. As an atheist myself I’ve watched a lot of content from that era, many of these antitheists were pushing to have religion classified as a mental disorder. Now you’d think those Atheists would by hyper woke today. Some are, but the bulk of those types of atheists joined the anti SJW movement in the 2010s and a lot of the rhetoric they previously used against religious people as a whole quickly was adopted for use against progressives as a whole.

A lot of people who aren’t in a field but want to feel smart will often read heavily into a minority view within the field and then adapt that as their own view in order to feel smart. “The vast majority of scientists who’ve dedicated their lives to this subject are wrong, but not me, I’m one of the few people who actually has it right and I didn’t have to go to some fancy university to do it!” Type mentality. Do they actually understand what they’re reading? Fuck no! But they will parrot it to their heart’s content. Often these types will have a political motive to feel morally superior as well.

This is especially prevalent in medical science.

I genuinely don’t care about Only Fans because I would never pay for porn. As for those of you who DO pay for porn, if you have a problem with people profiting off your hornyness stop paying. There’s plenty of free stuff. No need to get angry at someone who’s found a way to make a living selling pictures of their butthole because you feel compelled to buy said butthole pics.
