3 Mola Mola in the same dive at Crystal Bay, Nusa Penida. The third one at 12 meters

Mola Mola season is still on in Nusa Penida. On October 1st, I dived at Crystal Bay, and I saw 3 Mola Mola in the same dive. The first two were close to the first corner at 25 meters; the water was super cold, 17 degrees. We then crossed the bay to try to see the dolphins we'd seen at the surface before jumping in, but we saw a third Mola Mola instead, at only 12 meters in slightly warmer water at 22 degrees. It's rare to see them so shallow, and this one was not shy at all. Below my personal record, 14 Mola Mola spotted in October 2018 at Gamat Bay, but still a magic moment. For full transparency, I own a dive center in Nusa Penida.

You can hear me yelling for this Wedgefish in Nusa Penida

A few days ago at Manta Point in Nusa Penida, after more than 700 dives, I saw a wedgefish for the first time. At first, I thought it was a guitar shark, but after looking at the video, it is indeed a wedgefish. But I am not sure if it's a Bottlenose wedgefish (Rhynchobatus australiae), so if anyone can confirm it, that would be great.

Anyway, it's not a shark; it's a ray.

And whatever the name, I was super excited, and I tried to yell to tell my buddy to turn back. She did not hear me, but the wedgefish swam to her and passed in front of her eyes. Another diver in front of me never heard me and never saw it, so he will probably never know he had this rare species just behind him!
