So picked up fishing a couple months ago and so far been getting skunked. Sometimes I’d feel bites but not hook up right. Tomorrow I’m going to a private lake to get some trout or even bass if I get lucky. I’m using my 7ft daiwa medium (lightest I got for now) with braid as my main and will be using a swivel and fluoro leader line. Gonna be using a drop shot rig. Any tips? I heard treble hooks even work but would it on a drop shot? I got salmon eggs, trout nuggets and that old fashion power bait. Would love some advice on getting my first catch and big thanks in advance
