Absolute Crack “Theory”: The Qu are the True Progenitors?

It‘s late at night and I am about to sleep, so have an insane theory (with very little evidence)! I sort of thought about the Progenitors from Star Trek when writing this. I decided to write it in an artsy way too, so enjoy, and I hope it’s interesting even if it’s absurd and very unlikely!

The Qu are ancient, godlike, even. But, where did it all begin?

Billions of years ago, on a small planet, a species developed sentience, the first in the galaxy, maybe even the universe. The species developed rapidly, but saw their bodies as imperfect, having only one limb to manipulate the world around them with.

They learned how to travel through the lonely expanses around them while also learning how to manipulate the genomes of themselves and their brethren. With that, they designed the perfect planet with the perfect animals and sentient inhabitants.

Earth.

Before they could see the results of their experiment, however, they continued to progress, and descended into a fanatical and unthinking hivemind that forgot about their creation and merely strived to subjugate the galaxy. Seeing the lesser forms of life around them for millions of years, they deemed themselves as the rightful owners of the virgin universe. They took organisms from planets and transmuted them into horrifying, unrecognizable forms that could inhabit other planets in order to control all that moved. Their perfect beings would not emerge until far after they moved on to another arm of the Milky Way with their vile subjugation.

They were gods.

Until their creations proved them wrong.

Doroxi 2: Tomodachi Boogaloo

I decided to incorporate the character from my previous post here into my a Tomodachi Life island! His clothes and face were honestly a pain to make, but I think the end result is pretty good!

Doroxi (Bug Facer OC)

This OC has QUITE the story!

Out of universe, he has existed since I was 11, first thought up around when I first saw the Alt Shift X video in my reccommended and found it cool. I’m 16 now, and I still adore this book. I really want to swing by Barnes and Noble to pick up a print copy!

Despite the character being nearly 5 years old, this depiction isn’t even measly singular year old. I somehow neglected transcribing his design into a visual medium for all of that time, although I couldn’t really draw well until 2023.

In universe, his father, a diplomat, along with his wife and son, were murdered by a race of warlike aliens whose minds were corrupted by a virus. As a result, he tries to help defeat these aliens in order to avenge his family.

I would explain more, but the universe he comes from is nothing like the canon universe: it’s basically Star Trek but I vomited my various autistic interests all over it and it is a true doozy.

I’ve tried turning this conceptualized story into an actual fanfic, but all I could manage was twi measly chapters. I won’t link the story here, but if you ask, I shall send it. I even tried making a wiki about it before losing my writing steam.

But yeah, I love All Tomorrows, and it’s perhaps the book that has captivated me the most. I wish this fandom was a bit more alive, and I hope the redux will bring about a revival.
