Orange and lime tree look like they're being munched on.

What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

West Coast of Australia.

Orange and Lime tree in yard look like they're being eaten by something. I picked a couple of snails off them. Could see no other bugs.

What could be causing this and how can I remedy it?
