Script evolution in Pherilya

Pherilya is a low fantasy Dieselpunk world inspired in WWI, where human emotion and culture creates gods, and ancient empires fuel new decadent empires that are condemned to fall. The setting was thought to take place during the Great Teotarean Nations War (that is 2400 A.I), so I decided to create the history of the world to flesh out the present. Basically, the special characteristic that defines my world is that energy or "magic" comes from humanoid emotions, causing the energy to be stored in the recipient of the emotion.

History is divided into four ages: the ancient age, the magic age, the dark age and the new age. The maps show you from the start of the ancient age to the end of the dark age. This last age started with a cataclysm named Sayarkham, where a meteor crashed into one of Pherilyas moons and made a huge mess. This made a nation known now as the imperium colapse, hence the loss of the Kalem script.

Pherilya is divided into five human races, left behind by the Nerites: the Vaar, the Enshlik, the Natlak, the Shuman and the Urok. All four have their differences in mind and body, but time and interbreeding would diversify even more the human population, creating cultures, religions and wars. In the depths of the Encata continent, one can find a race of humanoid insects, but these do not possess a written language and have historically been displaced by other races.
