I am a big stat nerd and like to check my stats post game, but if a person rage quits, it jsut backs out and doesnt let you check things.

I honestly don't remember the last time I actually reached the end of a game online that I won.

Just had another game. Opponent Nano blitzes every single play. Which makes the game boring because now I have to almost exclusively run quick slants or out routes from a shotgun formation that has a TE and a RB into block just so I can get the ball off.

Then on offense, they ran 4 wide pistol ALL GAME. I think they did 3 different plays. Streaks, a very rarely used hb dive, and some other pass that had crossing routes.

I am up by 2 (because yup, you guessed it, dude went for 2 every single time), and I get a first down, with like 1:45 left and he still has 2 timeouts. Instead of trying to stop me 3 times and get the ball back with like 30-40 seconds left, he ragequits like a baby.

Why do I even bother playing this game anymore?

I have played maybe 300 online madden games this year (not sure because madden decided to reset your record every few months for some reason), but I swear, the vast majority of my games, my opponent runs the same 2 or 3 plays, out of the same exact formation, ALL GAME.

I play just regular ranked. I don't know the incentive to get a win at all costs and beating a basement dwelling sweaty tryhard. Alot of times its not even some glitchy META offense they saw on some youtube clip.

Just, why? even when its not effective, people seem so braindead that they cant grasp the concept of different formations, different plays, mixing it up, not letting the defense know exactly what youre doing.

I miss madden games where you actually had a sense of outsmarting your opponent or using some strategy. Even simple shit like if youre gonna run the ball, go into Iform or splitback formation. Want to air it out, try a shotgun formation. Blitzes coming ? keep a TE and/or RB in to block.

Nope, all that is out the window. Just run 5 wide shotgun all game and let me get 9 sacks in the first half before quitting. 4th and inches? F it, lets go 5 wide again and try to pass. Or the opposite, someone comes out in I formation all game. 4th and 17. Think you might wanna go shotgun and atleast 3 wrs? nope. Lets stay in the same I formation. BRILLIANT!

Seriously, why does almost everyone play like this? Is the average gamer just absolutely brain dead compared to people back 20 years ago in the early xbox 360 days?
