Help to replace AI video generator

So, my B2B org is trying to mass produce AI generated Knowledge Base videos. While I have the minor argument that a 2 minute screen record need not be AI generated, that isn't the main issue. The same approach is now extending to feature videos with AI visuals (and more importantly, robotic AI voices) which seems too pure to corrupt and someone in that funnel needs to see human effort and not be appaled by ai content.

Right now, I believe that I am being gaslit by my team that video edits are too much effort to get a reasonable ROI and that voiceover is a very expensive process. But if content creators who have nothing but a phone-attached mic can do it, why is a multi national B2B enterprise skimping on it?

I want to do it by myself and prove the other way with free or open source tools, but i'm stuck on where to start learning. I can learn the processes but i need a sample project where I create my own visuals and cleanup my own voice, before I take on something big like a feature video. Also exploring voiceover expenses. Is it really as expensive as they claim to be? Or were they likely scammed or is it just pure gaslighting to push AI content and 'streamline' teams?

TL;DR: Need suggestions on how to start video editing and voice cleanup, and idea for a sample project, to replace AI video generated videos.

👋 Welcome to r/AIvents

Hey everyone! I'm u/Blazer15102, a product marketer (and a hobbyist writer in my off hours) who is heavily stressed and felt my writing, productivity, voice, relationships, and even baseline thinking heavily affected by the AI hype cycle we're being ground on.

Scrolling through Reddit (and other platforms too), many of us felt the same, and one of them voiced out for a support group. Felt like a great idea, so here we go!

What to Post
Let yourself out on what and how AI is affecting your life, work, or anything that you care about.

Just a quick note: Please don't mistake this for a AI hate club, that isn't its main intent. But you're free to hate on it in posts and comments if you feel so, just get it out so you can feel better. This is more of a platform to share your experiences with how AI is not right for you, relate with us so you know you're not alone in this, get help fixing anything if you need it, and offer it if you can.

Community Vibe
We're all about being friendly and inclusive of everyone's views, experiences, and opinions, as long as it is shared in a healthy manner.

Vents, rants, what to do next, how to avoid, why to bring a change, why not to, all of it, on the table!

As r/AIvents grows, we'll see how to identify and moderate AI tool promos or whatever bots and paid posts are upto on channels that talk about AI. Its inevitable, but I'm sure we'll figure how to remove it all or at the very lease curb it heavily.

Let's build a space where everyone feels comfortable sharing and connecting.

How to Get Started

  1. Introduce yourself in the comments below. Lets hear where you're coming from.
  2. Post something when you feel like it.
  3. If you know someone who would love this community, invite them to join.
  4. Interested in helping out? We're always looking for new moderators, so feel free to reach out to me to apply.

Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/AIvents relevant for anyone looking for a safe place from the AI grind.
