Hi! I (18NB) am picking up my first wheelchair Wednesday!! It’s not custom or anything like that, it’s a hand-me-down from a friend that’s hospital style with a few changes that make it more ergonomic. I am very nervous and I’m not quite sure what to expect when using it.
I was wondering about things that wouldn’t be expected about being a wheelchair user? Like what can/can’t I do/wear, what modifications I’d need.. stuff like that!
I am ambulatory and part time, I use forearm crutches otherwise, if that changes anything!

Hi! I have hEDS and I was wondering about KT tape. I sublux my hips and knees a lot and I am unfortunately allergic to my knee braces somehow ????? (I break out in hives and get really itchy if I wear them) and hip braces are out of my budget. I tried KT tape but I react horribly to the adhesive. Is there a brand or type of KT tape that works better on our skin? Or is this something we just have to deal with? Thank you!
