Generational Divide With Mixtape?
While I believe the IGN reviewer is a Gen Z man, the gamers I have talked to who really love Mixtape were Millennials and Gen Xers.
I, a late Millennial, certainly understand that the gameplay doesn't necessarily move gaming forward, but I treated the game like an interactive John Hughes movie from the late 90s and had more fun with the cinematography and emotional beats. Ferris Bueller's Day Off was one of my favorite movies growing up, and I see the influence here. Anyway, I haven't had feels for a game since I played Celeste.
Are there any younger gamers who like this game? Have you watched the movies this game was clearly influenced by?
