visible titanium plate

Just wondering whether this is a normal/regular occurrence or not lol
I underwent brain surgery in July, but right at the beginning of September I realized that a tiny part of a titanium plate is visible (50 days after surgery). Like there’s literally a hole in the middle of my head and the titanium plate is just casually visible inside it, which I thought was very bizarre.

So anyways we contacted my neurosurgeon and found out that this is in fact, not okay. So I had to undergo a short surgical procedure in the emergency OR. He removed the titanium plate and placed another one instead in order to avoid an infection and a whole bunch of other issues.

Has anyone experienced this? Genuinely curious

Recovery

I(22f) underwent brain surgery around 35 days ago to remove a central neurocytoma from the right lateral ventricle. It caused seizures, consistent headaches, and basically made my life a bit miserable.
Anyways, after the surgery I experienced really bad headaches which is normal of course. Then 2–3 weeks post op I felt almost perfect, and experienced no headaches whatsoever. But now I’m experiencing bad headaches all of a sudden and my scar even hurts a bit. Should I be concerned or is this normal?
I just want to know if recovery is rocky like that? Or if someone has experienced something similar maybe?
Hope everyone’s good btw❤️‍🩹
