High humidity

High humidity

Note: “Tri State Area” is the name of the thermostat device.

I’ve not had a smart thermostat before that warns about humidity and I’m not sure if I should do anything.

It’s spring where we live and the A/C is not on and doesn’t need to be on, the house has been staying under 70* F. It has been raining today, more rain is expected and we have a couple of windows open so I’m guessing it’s detecting the humidity from outside that has entered the home.

Should I do anything? I don’t need to cool the house and there doesn’t seem to be a mode that would remove humidity without lowering the temperature inside.

We do not use this device/thermostat for heat, it’s AC only.

I’ve had my Clara BW for about a year and a half. I only sync it when I have an overdrive book to read, usually I side load books. There was a notification for an update maybe two weeks ago, so I downloaded it. I thought it did its thing, but maybe not. This weekend I was trying to get an overdrive book to pull in but it didn’t work after a couple of syncs, so I restarted the device.

Well I think that’s when the update ran and the Kobo came back up looking like it was brand new, I had to set up WiFi and log in. Many of my settings were lost. It went back to the default page turn, it forgot my 8bitdo, and it wasn’t connected to my overdrive account. It looks to have remembered the collections I created with Calibre but removed all of the books.

It’s super annoying to have to set everything up again and I’d really like to avoid this happening in the future. Should I stop allowing it to update? Is there a way to backup all my settings so I could restore them later?
