I still have a Facebook and my algorithm there must think I'm a right wing boomer because it just feeds me endless guy in truck talking to his phone videos or young girl bashing her generation (right wingers love that). Its probably my fault because I love checking comment sections just to see what everyone's angry uncles and aunts are saying. I've definitely noticed that since the start of the war none of them even want to acknowledge Trump exists and instead have just pivoted to Lindsay Clancy or Cornell 7 videos for clicks. I wonder if after Dems win the midterms they will pivot back as they can then finally yap about Dems who are in power and blame them for whatever. Or is it truly over for these "content creators" and they never dip their toes back into politics again.

The dude definitely has been baptized in college campus rhetoric and phrases. Am I being teleported back to 2018? I really hate when people talk like this and claim to represent the working class. I do manual labor all day 6 days week and I can assure you everyone I know who is working class has the vocabulary of a bathroom stall wall and say the most out of pocket shit imaginable. Whats funny is in the past 3 months I've seen a real shift away from Trump. Guys are bashing him and calling him a loser and pedophile and the last thing we need is a guy like the dude in this interview using terms like "holding space" and sounding like an absolute wimp and fucking all that up. Just communicate like a normal person and win votes. Why can lefty dems not get this simple idea through their heads?

Im not saying this is the biggest deal but the discussion made me think about the difference in video games kids are playing these days compared to when I was a kid. Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox are all pretty mindless games (never played Roblox but from what I have seen I think the criticism stands). Obviously my teenage years were filled with mindless hours of COD as well but I still mostly played and still play RPGs. When I was a young kid in the 90s most story driven games didnt have voice acting and I read everything. When I was about 12 I remember playing Baldurs Gate 2 and looking up words in the dictionary to figure out what they meant. I still play single player games but from what I understand the average age of a gamer playing those is probably 30 at this point. Kids like streaming and brainrot games. I think when you combine the lack of reading, tabletop gaming, and video games that really dont require you to be able to read above a 3rd grade level you get real problems.
