They say that the National Parks were “America’s best idea.” It’s also said that right here is where that idea was born. The Firehole canyon just nearby, the rolling river cutting between the two mountain peaks. I can see why. A little too distant to be seen are the fly fishers, the children playing, the geese swimming, falcons circling and ravens being nosey.

I have not yet met a ranger that didn’t love their job. Their infectious enthusiasm inspires my son who wants to be a ranger himself some day.
