some smol experiment with a OpenCode Go subscription + Qwen...
Will probably not release as a extension unless official provider support (eg via custom endpoints) will be added.

Just a quick showcase that it's super easy to use external providers by bringing your own keys/models (via a proxy)

edit: i found a client_byok=0 but i dont think ms gonna add external provider access soon, even if its possible right from the start

And also hid "Usage is exceeded", at least from the chat menu - unless you prompt a model from the ghcp provider.

Who needs a Github Copilots 1000$ subscription when you can get the same for 100x less / free with local models and custom providers?

Experimental test for M365 Copilot in GHCP2OC using g365-headless-relay. sadly tools can't be called.

With Claude this cost would had been a single request and i wouldnt even had the framework.
ok maybe, but after another 10s request, theres another 50ct wasted.

Funfact, i actually "coded" the proxy using the same model it's gonna proxy ghcp to.

The cool thing is it works with the free github copilot subscription too (tried with a free account, same results).

With this "hack" youre ACTUALLY able to use any models you want without any additional addons etc.

This is meant as an alternative to an (in theory) working solution via OpenRouter

Which a Proof of concept like this, you could instead have complete control over your bot, similar to a local Ollama model would work, but without the requirement of a RTX 9080.

Also you wouldn't even need any plugins to collect how active you are with your copilot "usage"
