For those who have shelties in the long end of the projected lifespan or even surpassed (15 years plus) what stories do you have? Any advice to increase the longevity of these absolute gems?

My guy is still a long ways to go at 3 but is it really as simple as good food, weight management and exercise? (aside from genetics)
