Who else is like Artaud?

I’m not really interested in writers that are similar to Antonin Artaud in style, but more in the way that he is perceived as a mystic, a rebel, and a madman.

Arthur Rimbaud comes to mind. His story of the child prodigy poet turned gay icon baddie is legend.

I’m curious as to what other literary greats, not-so-greats, or all around fuck-ups would also share a space with these authors.

Maybe Byron, Poe, Sade, or William S. Burroughs? Are there any contemporary writers that have the same kind of mysterious aura as Artaud and Rimbaud?

I don’t even care if it’s embellished or just plain hogwash, I just love a good literary anti-hero.
