My camshaft position sensor went out and it seems the VANOS solenoid needs to be removed to access it. However, it is extremely stuck and will not budge even after soaking in penetrating oil. Anyone have any advice for getting it unstuck, or if it’s maybe possible to replace the sensor without removing the solenoid? I’m afraid something will break if I keep trying to force it with all my strength.
