I want to bring my Spiderman mask to NYC for pictures but the Metropolitan Museum (the whole reason behind the trip) states no masks are allowed in the museum. Is there a place where I can safely put my bag/mask (like a locker?) where it isn’t… illegal?

I’m also unsure if the plastic eye lens would show up on the x-ray, but either way I really don’t want to be fish filleted for trying to sneak in a mask to an art museum.
