Specifically I’m considering the Sigma Art 14-24 as it’s the same focal range as the Nikkor S-line lens for a significant savings, and as far as I can tell its optically comparable to the Nikkor 14-24 unlike going with the Tamron 16-30, Nikkor 14-30 or Nikkor 17-28, none of which is the level of the Nikkor 14-24 according to reviewers.
I used to carry around my DSLR loose in my purse when it wasn’t around my neck. I can’t do that to my Z6III. She’s too pretty. Since I’m mainly a travel/street photographer, I’m not usually carrying around more than just my camera with a lens on it, maybe a spare lens in my bag, so I don’t need a proper camera bag. I need a way to either carry my Z6III in my purse but with some sort of protective cover so it’s not bouncing around among the rubbish, or some sort of small more fashionable camera bag that isn’t super bulky. Any recommendations?
I have a Z6III and so far my kit is just Nikkor lenses but my research has suggested that the Tamron 70-300mm f/4.5–6.3 Di III RXD might be a better pick than the Nikkor Z 100–400mm f/4.5–5.6 S, not just because of the much lower price but because the Nikkor lens is overkill and a lot heavier. Also looking at a wide angle lens, seems like the Tamron 16-30mm f/2.8 is a good alternative to the Nikkor 17-28mm f/2.8, which is apparently a Tamron-designed lens sold under the Nikkor brand anyway. I would love to hear thoughts on these and any other non-native glass and how it stacks up.
