Name me some movies that have this kind of energy.

For example, I thought Heathers was going to be like an 80s version of Mean Girls. I was wrong.

I thought Sorry To Bother You was going to be about the struggles of making ends meet while working for a company that doesn’t care about you. I mean I guess I was kinda right but I was also wrong 😂

I thought Sunshine was going to be a normal sci-fi space adventure. I was wrong.

I thought 9 to 5 was about the difficulties of being a woman in the workplace, but when they accidentally stole the wrong dead body from the hospital I had to stop and be like “wait…what movie am I watching?”

So give me titles, maybe give me taglines, and let me find things to watch that take a sharp left turn at some point!

I went to see a tour of POTO when I was in high school. It was incredible and I was moved to tears! So when I had the chance to go see it again a few months ago…ngl it seemed a little underwhelming?

After joining this sub I realized I’m not crazy, changes have been made to the show and it wasn’t what I remembered. Here are changes I think I noticed:

-The chandelier doesn’t crash into the stage anymore, it just falls

-In our production, at least, Christine fainted fully to the floor upon seeing the wedding dress. Phantom didn’t catch her and carry her to the bed. Fade to dark at the end of MOTN, “I Remember” is the very next scene and she’s in the boat. I figured my Phantom just needed to do some bicep curls and couldn’t carry Christine 😂

-The Don Juan rehearsal scene, I don’t remember this at all?! Came out of left field for me.

-Incorporating the wedding ring situation in the show, I thought this was just in the movie because of the practicality of seeing a tiny ring from the stage. I didn’t remember them doing the rings when I saw it before.

Anyway I am loving being a part of this sub, I have been a Phan for 20 years and am actually learning new things about my favorite story!!
