Absence Seizures

Mama to a newly diagnosed kiddo 5m with absent seizures. I’m trying to understand more of his symptoms and the aftermath of days when more seizures break through. He can tell me he feels dizzy etc but that’s about all I get.
Can those of you who have absent seizures walk me through how you feel? Do you lose time when it’s happening? How can I better support him throughout the day and at school?

Hi! Mom to a newly diagnosed five-year-old with absent seizures, and light sensitivity seizures. I am obviously doing as much research as I can to support my kiddo, we have started on medication, I am seeing a lot of information around blue filter glasses and blue-light glasses, and I have also seen comments from others saying polarized glasses can help with photo sensitivity seizures. I would love to hear experiences from others who have more knowledge than I do surrounding this. Thank you in advance 🩵
