Hey Fellas. I just picked up a 1975 11' Boston Whaler to fish with my pops, and upon getting the hull cleaned up we found a ding with a soft spot around it. Can anyone help with some advice on repairing it?

Context:

1. The ding is roughly 5/8" across and 1/4" deep

2. The soft spot is roughly 10"x12", maybe a little smaller.

3. The soft spot has about an eighth inch of give and springs back.

4. There is no sign of the hull being waterlogged currently.

Hey fellas. I just picked up a 1975 11' whaler with my Dad. It was in fantastic shape, but upon cleaning the hull we found this damage. There is a soft spot roughly 10"x12" around the crush/penetration damage and I need some advice on how to repair it properly. Can anyone help?

For context:

1. The soft spot is roughly the size of the red outline.

2. there is no indicators of waterlogging at this time.

3. The soft spot is moderately soft, with about 1/8" of give and it springs back.

4. Dent itself is about 1/4" deep

5. The ding is roughly 1/2" wide
