Good Career?

Im currently 31. I feel like im behind in life because I spent my 20s essentially working dead end tech support jobs. Looking for a career I can build skills where I can eventually start my own business. I have a few questions. Am I too old to start something like this? and also, is this a career path yo u all would recommend? If i was to start how should I go about it and what to learn? I see there are repairs, leak detection etc. then theres cleaning and chemicals. Thank you.

How much continuous learning is involved?

I was in IT and the continuous learning was insane. Pretty much studying after you get off work for the rest of your life and doing home labs etc. is the continuous learning like this in aircraft mechanics? Or is it only having to take like one annual class or so a year?

Looking to get my A&P and I heard you could find jobs that have a schedule of 90 days on and 90 days off or something similar to that. Are these jobs hard to come by? Interested in having something like this for a while so I can travel for a few years.

Did you get an associates with your A&P? or just got your A&P? Do you think not having your associates affected your career in any way? Im 31, and deciding whether I should go the associates degree path or go to a trade school and just get my A&P in 8-12 months. I'm thinking id rather get my A&P as fast as I can, so I can get into the field earlier and maybe do a class here or there if I choose to go corporate.

Looking into programs to be a aircraft mechanic. I live in Vegas but the only school here is AIM so im looking out of state. Looking at either TSTC or Miramar College in San Diego. I noticed something thats confusing me though. I see on the TSTC website I see a program for Aircraft Powerplant but then theres another program for Aircraft Airframe. Which one should I choose to work on Airplanes? whats the difference?

The two programs are listed here:

https://www.tstc.edu/programs/aircraftairframetechnology/

https://www.tstc.edu/programs/aircraftpowerplanttechnology/

Also I see the option to get an Associates degree or Certificate. Which one is recommended?
