ROME (Rome)

May 31

• Arrive 6:50 AM at Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport
• Transfer to Airbnb near Spanish Steps

Transport option:

• Take Leonardo Express train to Roma Termini railway station
• Then take a short taxi or Metro Line A to Spagna station
• Could take taxi instead?
• Check-in 2:00 PM (store luggage to explore around before)

June 1

• 8:15 AM Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill tour
• 6:00 PM Trastevere food tour

June 2

• 8:00 AM Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica tour
• Dinner suggestions?

June 3

• Check-out 10:00 AM
• 11:15 AM train from Roma Termini to Napoli Centrale

AMALFI COAST (Sant’Agnello / Sorrento area)

June 3

• Arrive Naples Centrale via train from Rome
• Transfer to Circumvesuviana train toward Sorrento line
• Get off at Sant’Agnello stop
• Check-in around 2:00 PM

Important transport note:

• At Napoli Centrale, follow signs for Circumvesuviana / Sorrento trains
• Only board trains marked “Sorrento”

June 4

• 8:30 AM Positano and Amalfi Coast small-group boat tour (includes Positano and Amalfi stops)

June 5

• Free day as of now (recs?)

Some options:

• Capri day trip
• Pompeii visit
• Relaxing day in Sorrento/Sant’Agnello

June 6

• Check-out before 10:00 AM
• Travel to Naples International Airport
• Flight at 8:45 PM

Airport transfer recommendation:

• Leave Sant’Agnello around 4:30–5:00 PM to allow buffer time
• Options include private transfer or Circumvesuviana train to Naples followed by taxi to airport

First time traveling to italy, I have tours airbnbs/hotel and tours book. Mainly questioning my transportation options. Did book my tour for the colosseum through Viator, have seen that this has been in issue. Anyone run into trouble this week? Would appreciate any food recommendations as I have not set any so far and for any recommendations on the days I have nothing planned yet. If you happened to the the time to read this, thank you!!

Initially planned to go with my bf after finally saving up enough PTO to go to Rome. We broke up. Little nervous about going alone, but I can’t give up the chance to go. I’ll be in Rome May 30 -June 3 & Amalfi June 3 (night) - June 6th. I have tours planned, but would love to get dinner or just know someone around! DM me.
Any tips from those who have been is also appreciated.
