Having serious problems with algae

Going on a week and a half of this issue with no improvement.

I have a Taylor test kit but have resorted to the pool store to get this under control. At this point, my gut is telling me I just need to over chlorinate the heck out of this pool. The pool store seems to believe adding oxidizer as the next step will get this under control.

Pool info:

Pool type: vinyl
Pool volume: 84,000ltrs
Filter type: sand
How you chlorinate: tablets, switching to liquid

Photo showing levels as of today and pool stores reco.

Yesterday I added:

2 bags of chlorine shock (1200g total, 70% cal hypo)
800ml Algaecide
8kg alkalinity +
2kg pH -

Test results (today):

CC: 8.1
FC: 8.1
pH: 8.1
CYA: 72
TA: 116
Ca: 138
Temp: 78F
