The car of Theseus aka the Dad Rod

As the post suggests, my car needs a ton of work. It might be a piece of crap, but it’s my piece of crap 😂 I finally popped one of the valve covers off to see what kind of ports the heads have, and it was as I assumed. They’re peanut ports. I’ll add that to my list of things I need to buy. Anywho, I hope you enjoy and I’ll keep the sub updated on the build

Experience with QA1 Handling Kits? Rack and Pinion Swap?

I’m eyeballing their level 3 handling kit and was curious about what the opinions are on it. I’m also looking into a rack and pinion swap and wanted to hear everyone’s take on that as well as get some recommendations. Thanks in advance

TL;DR does anyone know if it’s feasible to take the body off the frame to restore the frame at home without a lift or overhead crane?

After years of letting my ‘72 sit (long story) I’m getting ready to start working on my car again. The wiring has been completely torn out and the new kit has been mounted to the fire wall. The car has a lot of body rust that needs repaired and I want to make sure the frame is squared away before I get too much further. I’m contemplating trying to remove the body to restore the frame before going any further to avoid having to completely rewire it a second time. The problems are that I don’t have the money to take it to a shop for all the work to be done. The alternative is to do all the work at home on my gravel driveway. Is it possible to unbolt everything and jack up the body until it clears the frame and just roll the frame out from under it to do the work? If it is possible to do that, what all will I need to do this? Would it too big of a pain to make it worth it over rewiring it a second time later on?
