Sorry I couldn't get a better picture, it was angry and could leap pretty far. It would coil up and then leap if anything got too close. The belly was yellow, and it looked like the cheeks or the sides of the rear part of the head were bulging, around where venom glands would be, but could have just been for intimidation.

Ultimately I emptied out the shop trashcan since it's huge and has a lid, then walked the snake off my property into the boonies and set it free.
