Why hasn't Max Blumenthal been on Breaking Points?
Hi all, I'm relatively new to BP and independent news podcasts.
I've been impressed with Max Blumenthal's podcast appearances, with Glenn Diesen and Judging Freedom in particular. Professor Mearsheimer regularly goes on both of those pods as well. In my opinion Max is extremely knowledgeable about world affairs, especially when it comes to Israel, Gaza, and Iran. Reminds me of Scott Horton. Unlike Scott and Mearsheimer and Glenn, I don't believe Max has been a guest on BP? I've read Max's wikipedia so I know he has been criticized for being a Russian apologist in particular, but given the mainstream narrative on the Ukraine Russia war, I am not confident this is an accurate portrayal of the guy.
What impressed me in particular was a story I had never heard before: On the Glenn Diesen pod he mentioned that Trump gave a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition when he was running for president the 1st time that was quite critical of Israel. He said to the crowd
"I don’t know that Israel has the commitment to make [a peace agreement]... A lot will have to do with Israel’s willing to sacrifice certain things..You're not going to support me because I don't want your money...You want to control your own politicians."
Max went on to describe the Israel lobby's efforts to influence him from that point forward. That speaks volumes. Thoughts?
