Hello fellow survivors! In January, I was diagnosed with a DVT in my calf and started on DOACs. At the time, I was 9 weeks postpartum, and nursing, so I had not had my period yet. After meeting with my PCP, gyno, and hematologist (shoutout lifer anticoag gang), we decided a progestin based IUD would be safest for me and I had it placed last Thursday.

Yall, I am still spotting, and it’s getting slightly heavier, which has never happened with any of my other IUD placements, and I’m just looking for anecdotal information on how long it can last.

I’ve been an anxious mess since January, and it’s slowly but surely getting better, but now this has it creeping in a bit again.
