Mutant guava rf3 auto seedling on day 5 after sprout (will she be alright?)
I am hoping to break the curse of my very unlucky streak with having to start over on tons of seedlings. These first two pics are my day 4 guava rf3 auto seedling, she came out a lil wonky and it took longer for one of the leaves to break out of the seed cap than the other leaf, I hope she’ll even out and grow okay (I have noticed the stem is a little thin though, although not stretching). Her first two leaves that came before the serated leaves are also a little uneven. But I don’t see any yellowing or discoloration. I’m hoping she’ll grow into a beautiful mutant, not a stunted waste like a lot of her predecessors lol. I have been spraying with 6.3 ph water in a water bottle in a circle around the base of the stem, trying to get those roots to start searching for water. I’m only watering when the top soil is dry and so is the inch underneath, keeping the tent at 60 percent rh the best I can with the humidifier and the oscillating fan (I don’t have an extractor fan in there rn, last one broke and I just got my new one delivered, need to install it tmw). Is there anything that looks impossible to save or improve on? The third pic is of my mendo frost seedling that is two days after sprout, and it looks perfectly fine (ik they’re just different strains, but still I’m concerned cuz the guava’s stem is so thin and the leaves are weird). All of my previous attempts in the last month and a half have been a waste because I was using previously hydrophobic soil that I though I had successfully rehydrated, but it just became even more hydrophobic so I had to get new soil and start from scratch for these ones. I put new soil in each of the growbags, added a liberal amount of perlite, and I’m praying for the best. I know it’s a learning process but I’ve grown many large, successful and healthy plants in the past few years, maybe it was the old hydrophobic soil I was so desperately trying to salvage that screwed me over the last few times. But here’s to hoping that these lil gals will turn a new leaf in my streak of bad growing luck with their new soil!! (Spraying at least twice a day cuz if I don’t it dries out wayy too much) I added a tablespoon of worm castings to each as well a couple days ago. Praying that they aren’t stunted yet again. Any advice is always welcome and appreciated 🙏
