Hey there fellow Centurions,

We've lived in this 1885 Greek Revival for about 2 years now, we have 26 windows in our house..and only 2 open. They seem to be the original windows and possibly the original frame/casing given how worn the wood is. We plan on having them restored at some point, but to restore them all we are looking at 20K.

My question is how can I get the caulk off of some of these first floor windows? I feel like it's a bit of shame and safety hazard to not be able to open at least some.

I honestly would be happy getting one of the 4 of my kitchen windows open..any and all advice is welcome. I tried using a razor blade and putty knife to get it but it's just way too hard/weird to get good placement with tools.

Thanks.
