I'm a Master Mason from Lebanon, and I will soon be moving permanently to Montpellier, France (as. Master's student). The obedience I currently belong to is a member of CLIPSAS and UMM. We are in amity with the Grand Orient de France (majorly), GLDF and others...

Now I ask, would it be a difficult process to officially join one of these Grand Lodges in France? My French is a bit rough, should I become fluent before I decide to join them?

I'm going to be moving to Montpellier in August for a master's program with a scholarship. But, in order to get a visa, i have to have an apartment, and to have an apartment I have to have a garant (guarantor), and to have that (without having to pay a month's worth rent) is to have a visa.
