[Minecraft Dungeons] Low FPS (~10 FPS) and Microsoft Login Issue on Debian 13
OS: Debian 13 (Trixie) CPU: Intel Core i5 (3rd generation) GPU: Nvidia GeForce GT 740M (tesla drivers 470.256.02 downloaded from sid) RAM: 8 GB
Hi everyone, I'm trying to install a free version of Minecraft Dungeons on Debian 13 Trixie, but I'm really stuck. I tried downloading it using Bottles, and I frequently encountered an Unreal Engine 4 crash; however, after many attempts, I found a configuration:
I set caffe-9.2 as the runner. In the executable arguments, I added -dx11 to force DirectX 11 usage; I disabled vkd3d but enabled dxvk (specifically version 1.10.3). I also enabled Feral's GameMode. For dependencies, I downloaded vcredist 2015, 2019, and 2022. I finally managed to launch the game without any crashes and with decent performance for my hardware, but as soon as I get in, it asks me to log in with a Microsoft account—something that shouldn't happen since I'm using the FitGirl version. What can I do? If anyone has a solution, I’d be truly grateful; I’ve been trying to play this game on Linux for about a month now. I saw in some Reddit posts that people use online-fix(dot)me, but I don't know if that would work or how to go about it. I’m appealing to anyone reading this—if you have a solution, I would really appreciate that.
