Alright, we're done here.
Guess I used up all my luck for the rest of the season on this one.

Guess I used up all my luck for the rest of the season on this one.
Made a simple animation visualizing how MMR changes depending on current MMR and number of wins. It's based on the formula given by the devs, i.e.: change = ( wins - ( current_rating / 500 * 5 )) * 5, plus another 5 if you get 10 wins.
Just take the money and call it a day?
A question for the pros - I'm mostly playing Jules atm, but I'll take any advice. I'd say I'm a decent player with a solid understanding of the base mechanics (like 800 MMR in a good season), but:
I'm really struggling with the transition from the early to the midgame. I'm usually doing ok early on, with like a 4-win average on day 6. However, then one of three things happens:
a) the game presents me with an obvious line to play (e.g. I have a Slushee and Shatter, and I get a Walk-In Freezer). I take it, and I can usually get it to gold.
b) I get absolutely nothing that would make any sense to buy. I shop around in a panic, spend all my gold on rerolls, and take my bronze victory if I'm lucky.
c) I'm presented with good options, but they all fit onto different boards. I end up with a full stash, three half-builds, but nothing is coming together. At some point, Pyg hits me over the head with a Double Whammy and it's over.
I realize that anyone can do a), and I know that b) and c) are basically skill issues - good players manage these scenarios and consistently turn them into gold runs (I've watched them do it on Twitch). But *how*? How do I decide if I should hedge a Blender in case I get a Freezer or a Cake Batter in case I get a Refrigerator, or do none of the above and rather save the gold for later?! It feels like there's something essential that I'm not considering or just misjudging badly.
Any help is appreciated!
With extra Hot Sauce. Shout-out to Dabora, couldn't have done it without her.
Heavy enchant on the oven, Assault Focus and Diamond Fangs really doing some work here.
Note the "One Shot, One Kill" and "Blizzard" skills for extra flavor. Also, Curio coming through with the Icicle.
