Driving a 2013 Kia sportage for just about 2 years now, some days it’s fine and shifts like butter, some there is noticeable sticking or resistance when leaving a gear and/or entering one, I never felt like i was doing anything different from one day to the next.

Figured I or the car must be doing something wrong but shops never found anything and apparently a “hesitant transmission” is a pretty normal thing with this car. I know the previous owner didn’t take especially good care of it either.

Anyway I’m just wondering if anyone’s had a car like this and any tips for managing it on its’ bad days? Or if you think there might be something subtle I’m doing wrong when this happens, happy to hear anything you’ve got in mind as I mostly just had to teach myself stick. Thanks in advance.
