What is the best setup for a family? I want to share all my pictures, including the new ones to all family members. Same for my wife. I think our teenagers might want to keep some private Can it be done?
I moved a year ago from Windows to Linux and for my picture collection from Picasa to Immich.
My Linux is using btrfs on a 2TB nmve disk for /root and /home and a 4TB hdd to back up /home (using rsync). I put the pictures and Immich database on a dedicated user in /home but I'm already using too much data on the ssd:
First it is not clear to me if I really use all that space. Is it caused by the snapshots? How can I confirm this?
sudo btrfs filesystem usage /home
Should I buy another 4TB hdd (or 2TB) and put the picture collection on it and mount it in /srv?
Do you have any suggestions on how to organise the disk space?
Is there a way to get a terminal only session but not limited to 80 chars wide (I have a 4k monitor). Is there such a thing as the terminal frame buffer? Should I nevertheless use a "terminal only" window manager? Does it exist?
I moved to Immich after many years using Picasa (the old app). I tagged thousand of faces and get it saved in XMP metadata. But Immich seems to ignore them. I just tuned on "System settings > Metadata settings > Enable face import" and ran the job to regenerate thumbnails (I saw a post about it) but no change, the faces are still not associated to a name.
Do you know what to do to get Immich uses these XMP face tags?
Enfant dans les années 80, dans la maison de mes grands parents qui était dans le Nord Pas de Calais, en face d'un canal et pas loin d'une ferme avec des vaches, j'ai plusieurs fois vu un insecte que je n'ai jamais revu depuis.
Dans mes souvenirs c'était entre une mouche et un moustique avec un corps fin et bleu avec des points noirs (ou des bandes noires).
Vous avez une idée de ce que ça pouvait être ?
