Hi I’m based in the UK and we have three conifer trees in our garden that have been there since before we moved into the house (just over 2 years ago). We had the trees trimmed by a guy who had been maintaining the trees for the previous owners, however what we were left with is what’s pictured, he only did the front half of the trees and explained to us that he’d done this so he didn’t take too much off them in total, which would cause them to die. He also said the front would regrow in the next spring, however as you can see they haven’t.

I am looking for some advice of whether the trees have been badly damaged and if there’s any way for us to ‘fix’ the trees, or whether it is worth (as a last resort) cutting them down (we would plant new ones in place of them)

I’ve not had a dream in a while which is quite odd for me. My dreams are usually a bit odd so I don’t think much of them but I’ve had these dreams (below) the past 3 nights (one each night, in order) and they felt memorable- just interested to hear anyone’s thoughts/ interpretations:

I was in India at some kind of a resort, there was a pack of black panthers prowling around the grounds, no one got attacked but we were hiding behind bushes and I felt scared.
In a forest somewhere with straw roofed huts, pack of coyotes hunting, me and a group of people I don’t know, coyotes chasing me and one other person who was running just a ahead of me I pulled his top so he tripped and the coyotes got him. Later on I was stood on a straw roof with a coyote on the ground, it appeared curious not aggressive.
Old friend from primary school planting fruit trees and naming them after me and the some friends from primary school who I haven’t spoken to since school
