Gym/program/classes recommendations for former smoker
Hi there! I'm a female in my mid 30s who's a former smoker (2 years now I think smoke -free?) trying to get recommendation of which gym/program/classes to join if my goal is ultimately to stay lean and tone with some muscle building and cardio involved. Since I have no experience with gyms or exercising at all, I'm really just looking to pay into a program where I show up and someone walks me through what I need to do (but personal trainers are $$$ so I'm looking more for group sessions). I've looked into different things like cross-fitness programs, pure barre, orange theory, cycling classes and the likes but everything seems to have it's pros and cons. I'm having trouble deciding which of these programs has the most "well-balanced" between having a good mix of everything without too much emphasis on one thing as the main focus.
Could someone recommend their favorite program/classes/gym that really emphasis a good mix of different things? Also, as a former smoker I have a lot of trouble with cardio so while I understand it's gonna be hard in the beginning to build up my cardio capacity, I would really love it if HIIT wasn't the primary focus for recommendations.
Thanks in advance!
