How hard was it for you to get your infusion?

I’ve been following this sub for about a month now, and I am both fascinated and horrified by some of the posts I’ve seen about what people have had to go through to get their infusions. I just finished a series of three Venofer infusions ordered by my gynecologist and scheduled within a week of referral. No hematologist involved. My insurance paid for them, but even if I’d been denied, I would have paid around $1000 total for three infusions (I’ve seen some people say they paid more with insurance). At no point in this process was I hassled, gaslit, or denied. I live in WA State (Portland, OR metro area)in the U.S. This area is definitely more progressive than many parts of the country when it comes to women’s health. Is that why it was so easy for me to get this treatment? Do different states have different rules around infusions? I am genuinely curious because so many people are describing experiences that are not okay. I feel like I should call my congresswoman or something.
