Hello everyone. I am creating a story inspired by the Backrooms, backroom lores and ergodic literature.

It was also inspired from this tiktok idea where the backroom has been existing ever since humanity has begun and from each and every period of time. Backrooms do not have the concept of time and at some, every person who enters the room will meet. But I added my own twist, the backroom can also disorient someone's language and thinking. As you can see here in my "snippet", a María Clara (Victim 1) from the Philippine-Spanish era accidentally enters the backroom. Also, there's a Victorian era woman (victim 2) but it is still a draft.

I did some research last night and I found these books that are ergodic based on their strict definitions (and my own judgement lol).
This is probably how I explain the House of Leaves to someone who doesn't like ergodic literature. lol.
So far, I have the three of the most sought after books in the world of ergodic literature. I am currently in Chapter 9 in HOL and it is mind-blowing!

So I am done reading chapter V then I saw on footnote 78 that the letters written by Pelafina H. Lièvre, Johnny Truant's mom, can be found on Appendix II-E. When I saw the Appendix, THAT'S A LOT OF LETTERS TO READ, so skipped it and proceeded reading the preceding chapter.
I'm at chapter VIII now, about the S.O.S. thing. Observant of me, I saw a check sign. I am confused why it was there and did a little digging here and it turns out, that check sign was from her mom's letter.
Should I read the letter first before reading the preceding chapters or read the chapters first?
Remember the long list of names in ch. IV p. 64? Look at each initials of the surname of the first 9 names.
