Sadly, after taking time to seemingly fabricate a great story about having their belongings stolen, they have 'borrowed' £20 and ghosted repayment.

Sent two reminder messages to them on Thursday 14th May, one early on and another later after receiving no reply.

Sent another message first thing today, on the due date, Friday 15th May.

Gave them most of the day as no time was specified for repayment but it feels safe to say that they aren't replying or repaying now.

If they do repay, I'll update the post.

This was an insignificant amount, however, if they do this to enough people then it adds up and any borrower not repaying is a bad borrower.

I even told them not to worry about then interest they offered due to the small amount and short loan period.

They replied yesterday saying they would pay and then didn't get in touch again the entire day so although this is only a day late, they seem to have no intention returning.
