Is it worth it?

I have finally hit a wall in my career of retail. I’m extremely burnt out and don’t think I can do it again. At the same time I have the itch to go to college for education. I’m interested in elementary education and have an amazing community college nearby. The only reason I didn’t after high school is because I graduated class of 2020 and education looked quite grim by that point. I did a semester of online community courses, but then dropped out. It’s now several years later and I still have the passion for it, but am hesitant if it’s worth it. I live in the suburbs of Chicago if that helps at all. I know I’m not going to make crazy money, but maybe finding a fulfilling career would be worth it? I’m still fairly young, but am a little nervous for starting so late.
